Stitch Fix #15 - July 2016

My 15th Stitch Fix was a complete surprise for me.  I only requested my stylist Anne but did not ask for anything specific.  Of course I cheated and looked at what I was receiving as soon as I got the tracking number, but up until that moment, I did not know what to expect.

Here's a quick run down on the service if you haven't visited my blog before:

Stitch Fix is a service that will send you five articles of clothing (or purses, scarves, jewelry, and now shoes) picked by a stylist at whatever interval you choose based on a style profile you fill out about yourself.  You pay a $20 styling fee for each box, but that money goes toward anything you keep.  So as long as at least one item works for you, there's nothing to lose.  And if you keep all five items, you get a 25% discount.

You don't have to sign up for a certain time period between fixes.  You could try it one time and never get another fix or get another one 2 years later!  There's no cost commitment until you schedule a fix.  When the box ships, that's when you are charged the $20 styling fee.

You can create a Pinterest board dedicated to your style and put the link in your style profile so that your stylist can see what items you like and why.  I love when I receive something I actually pinned or something very similar to a pin on my board!

And here is what I received in Fix #15:

(1) Toms Classic Crochet Slip-On Flat - $48

I love my silver sparkly Toms and have a pair in natural that are more ballet flat style, but these are comfy, fit my feet well, and will go with almost anything!  They are an off-white color, so they don't look great with my white shorts, but I wore them with my other items in some of my pictures.  I thought about getting these from the Toms website instead, but they are actually more expensive there.  Here's a picture of them on my feet:

(2) Pistola Chester Cargo Short -$68

Here's the front and back of the shorts.  I LOVE the olive color, and they are so stretchy at the waist!  They have real pockets in the front and back and will match pretty much everything!

I tried them with the Toms and my Le Sample Tank from Fix #2.  I also paired them with item #3 (see below).

(3) Le Lis Lira Woven Sleeve Knit Top - $48

This top is my least favorite from this fix.  The color is kind of blah, and I don't like the wide, rolled sleeves.  It is a cottony material, but it is very thin and sheer.  The only problem is, if I end up keeping everything else, I might as well keep this shirt too because the buy 5 discount is more than the price of the shirt!

(4) THML Furonda Embroidered Top - $58

This top is very "me."  The first time I tried it on, I rejected it though because it seemed tight around the bust.  Trying it on again today, it seemed to fit better, but I am just not sure about it.  I love the halter neckline, but that means I have to reconfigure my bra into the halter style to wear it.  What to do!?

I tried it on with shorts and my Kut from the Kloth Boyfriend Jeans from Fix #14.  It also has a cute little ruffle around the bottom edge.  Do I keep it?

(5) Gilli Shay Knit Maxi Dress - $78

I wish this dress had come as my first maxi dress that I ended up keeping because I love it so much more!  The waistline makes it look much better on me!  It is a tiny bit long, but as I wore it around the house and changed shoes and went outside to take pictures, I never once stepped on it or tripped over it.

It has a slit on one side up the leg.  My stylist told me it works great for summer and transitioning to fall.  Here, I am wearing the dress with my Skies are Blue Cardigan from Fix #12.

So that's it for Fix #15.  I have until Monday to decide what to keep and what to send back in a prepaid envelope.  Then I just drop it off at the post office, and I'm done!  You get a 25% discount for keeping all 5 items.  Do I keep a shirt I don't like just to save some money?  I know some people post items for sale, but I'm not really into doing all that work.  Give me some feedback below!  And if you want to give Stitch Fix a try, please use my referral code by clicking here!  I get a small credit, and you get a box of new clothes to play dress up with!  Thanks for reading!
